Balance: A day in harmony

             Balance: A Day in Harmony

  A typical day for someone who has achieved Balance by applying the Dak~Tien Philosophy.

  After a night of restful sleep, you awaken and go about the normal routine of starting your day including starting the pot of coffee. Only today you are going add something a little different to your routine.

 Before you shower (And shave if you are Male), brush your hair, wake up your partner, or think about the work day ahead you are going to take five or ten minutes for yourself (This is a good amount of time to begin with and can be adjusted to suit yourself later.).  Choose a window, balcony or deck that affords you privacy (Neighbors may frown upon or get excited, depending on their state of mind, about seeing nudity.), catches the morning sunshine and stand (sit or lay) there and allow the warmth of the morning light bath upon you. Do not think of anything in particular, just relax and look around, letting Natures' warmth be your be your only consious thought. Enjoy this warm feeling, blocking out all thoughts of the day ahead of you (Work, kids, what is right or wrong today and the stress of our every day life.). This five or ten minutes is for you alone. (It will take practice and many times days to be able to block out the distractions of the day and just relax. But, soon your five or ten minutes can become much longer as you perfect the use of this practice.)

 This done, you can now prepare for your day as usual and give yourself a few extra minutes to accomplish this. (Allowing yourself a little more time to do so without rushing and running down to the last minute.) Adjust your attitude slightly as you go about getting dressed and grooming yourself. Think of this as doing so because you feel good and are a good person, not because you must look good to impress the boss, or neighbors, or the public. You just want to project yourself as being satisfied with who you are.(To often we fall into the pit of looking good for others, our mate, boss, or the public in general) Today, you want to look great for one person, that being yourself!

 The key to Personal balance is that you must achieve understanding of your self worth. This should be the first goal of every day. When this is done, and you are satisfied with who you are, it becomes easy to project this inner peace by how you will look. Being satisfied with the inner you and now your projected physical appearance (The grooming, dress and attitude), you are ready to understand and accept the challenges of the day before you. You maybe surprised to find the day less stressful, the little things that use to annoy you will seem less meaningful, and you may even still be smiling at the end of the day when you return home. (For the housewife or mate at home you may find that you are not as exhausted when your mate returns and you too may be smiling.)

 Now that your day is drawing to a close, again take just a few minutes for yourself. Relax and only think of what you have accomplished this day. Allow yourself a moment of  reflection on the good of the day and be proud of what you have done and who you are. Accept the fact that in some minute way you are responsible for making the day a little bit better.

 This will work no matter if you are living as a Dominant, submissive or vanilla. The lifestyle one chooses to live has nothing to do with achieving Balance. Accepting responsibilities for our actions include both the good and bad is part of Balance and the basic steps to do this are the same.

"Understand and accept yourself, understand and accept reality, understand and accept that for every need there is a purpose, for every purpose there is a need and for every bad there is a good". This is Natures' Law of Balance.

 All we have to do is look and we will find! Apply this law and we will discover the peace of Harmony!
